Happiness is…

May 16, 2008 at 12:34 am (life) (, , )

…Spending an entire day snuggled up in bed with the love of your life finishing the first season of Battlestar Galactica and stuffing your faces with lasagne and garlic bread for supper.

Other things add to the happiness, but you don’t need to hear about those, do you? Didn’t think so.

I had a good day. A very good day. Sure my laundry didn’t get done, but so what? I’ll get it done. Eventually.

To add to the good day, A&E has officially announced that Dog the Bounty Hunter will be back on the air in reruns starting on June 25, with new shows (including never-aired episodes from last season as well as the episodes they’re currently taping for season five) starting on July 16.

There are going to be a lot of partying fans when those days come around. This nonsense has gone on way too long. Much longer than it needed to.

I’m going to bed. I have to work tomorrow. If the weather’s decent, I’ll probably be hauling Alex out for a walk tomorrow evening but otherwise I should be around. I do, after all, need to do laundry. LOL.

Do you think Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are going to launch an A7E boycott? I think it was wrong how the Dog’s boy leaked that tape to the media. Dog is a guy with personal frailties like everyone else who wears a skin suit and walks the earth. Sharpton’s antics got people killed at Freddie’s Furniture Mart and Jesse bragged to Life Magazine about spitting in White people’s food when he worked at a country club. Let the Dog roam free I say.

I don’t know. I also don’t care if they try, and neither do the rest of the fans. I personally have been boycotting A&E since they took Dog off the air and I know a least a few other fans have as well. Dog’s fans have stuck by him throughout this whole thing and there is no way any of us would listen to Sharpton and Jackson. We know our Dog. Those two don’t stand a chance at changing any of our minds, no matter what color our skin is.

As far as Tucker goes…the boy has issues. He shouldn’t have sold his dad out like that, but they’ve forgiven him and he’s back in jail now, so maybe this time things’ll go differently for him and he’ll get the help he needs.

Great, another person sucked into the crapfest of New School BSG.

DAMN YOU, BSG, STOP SLATHERING PEOPLE WITH YOUR FILTH.

I don’t care what Dog said, I still love him. I’ve said things I probably shouldn’t have in my life, too. Granted, I’m not a public figure to whom many people look up to–but then, the conversation was supposed to be private between father and son. So there.

Frankly, there isn’t another show on A&E *worth* watching. So I’ve been boycotting semi-unintentionally. I probably wouldn’t have watched anyway, though.

If the other things came after the eating of garlic bread, you really have found the love of your life. LOL

Glad to hear Dog’s coming back!

Rob: There is absolutely nothing wrong with BSG. I don’t like Doctor Who, but you don’t see me making comments like that on your blog do you? No, because I know you like it and I respect that. Think you can do the same for me?

Ali: Very true, that. And there are shows on A&E that I would watch, but haven’t because of the lack of Dog. LOL.

Shea: As a matter of fact… *wink*

You’re welcome to speak your mind on my blog anytime you like. If someone has something to say, I expect them to say it.

That said, the old BSG is far, far, FAR superior to this new dreck. I’m so glad it’s almost over with.

Well given that I’ve only seen the first season, and I love it, I’m saying I love the first season. I know things are different in seasons 2-4, so whether I love those will remain to be seen. But you are talking to someone who thinks seaQuest DSV is one of the best series of the type that she’s ever seen so…
